Twihard And Falling Hard?

I am happy to report I absolutely loved Breaking Dawn Part 2. Predictably, I was never going to dislike this movie, seeing as I am an out and out Twihard and have been so since the release of the very first Twilight book. I don’t want to spoil anything for fellow fans, but the introduction of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan’s baby, Renesmee, is simply genius. To think about where this all started – an awkward teenage girl falling in love with a vampire at her new school – and now she has his baby! Sorry, I know I’m getting all nerdy and excited, but I just love the whole saga. In fact, I am going to read all the Twilight books again, from start to finish, just to allow myself to drink in one last fix before accepting there will be no more films, and no more books. Sigh.

Mr. M, surprisingly, thoroughly enjoyed the film as well. This was a huge bonus, as I genuinely thought he was just humouring me and would secretly come out of Birkenhead Vue with me wanting to make any excuse he could to get away quickly. Not so. We took to the local Frankie & Benny’s for late night hot chocolates and talked for a good hour about ourselves. As it happens, he’s a little bit of a secret geek himself, and he’s really into his online gaming. He prefers online poker – whereas I don’t even know the rules of poker. In any case, it was great to see he wasn’t this perfect Godlike creature that is without hidden quirks. I know he’s great at his job in the Manchester digital media agency, and he’s very active and into his outdoor sports (skiing – skip back a few posts), but it was almost, humanising, to find out he had this little penchant for chilling out in front of his laptop on a few gaming sites. I might just be starting to like this one .
