Maine Coon Madness

And may I present to you…Tigger!

Ok, that is not Tigger, but it is a Maine Coon cat. A fully grown one – this is pretty much what I can expect my lovely little kitten to grow to – a little daunting don’t you think?!

It was Chloe who found this photo for me. She mailed it to me under the subject heading ‘OMG, this is Tigger in a year.’ The content of the message simply read ‘Wine at mine from now on.’ She’s forgetting of course that the Maine Coon breed is extremely docile and affectionate, so there’s nothing to worry about really, she’s just overreacting. Apparently, her and Trendy Trent have already discussed the fact that their first pet should be a Shar Pei dog – I pointed out the price of these to her, after obviously pointing out that she and Trent had been together the best part of a month.

Anyway, I much prefer having a cat than I would a dog. Tigger’s a little annoying sometimes – it’s not ideal when he’s swatting away at my iPhone 5 or laptop when I’m deep in concentration right in the middle of online blackjack or online bingo – he keeps making me lose…not good. But then he looks at me with his huge brown kitten eyes and I can’t help but melt. I did say I was going to keep everyone up to date with how to train a kitten – posting regularly on the topic. The truth is, I’ve been so relaxed with him lately. I’ve kind of become accustomed to his mischief, so he’s getting away with a lot. Chloe’s picture has definitely served a purpose though – I really do need to be a little more disciplined with him if he’s to grow to the size of a small tiger (slight exaggeration). Training updates to follow readers, I promise…
